The Speed‑X 8500 2D Wired CMOS Handheld Barcode Scanner brings reliable performance and ergonomics to scanning tasks. With a wired USB interface it ensures stable connection and minimal setup—simply plug in the cable and it’s ready to go. Its CMOS image sensor can easily decode standard 1D barcodes such as UPC/EAN, Code 128, Code 39, and also 2D formats like QR codes, PDF417 and Data Matrix. Designed for heavy use in retail counters, warehouses, logistics or service desks, it features an ergonomic shape and light weight (~122.8 g) for comfortable extended operation. The unit is built to withstand a 1.5 m drop onto concrete, making it robust enough for demanding environments.
With its USB HID Keyboard and USB VCP support, it works with most POS systems, PCs and tablets without special drivers. It also handles fast decode angles (±55° pitch, ±55° skew, ±180° tilt) and minimum resolution down to 4 mil for 1D barcodes.
